Pre-requisite: FSP1003 and FSP1004
Enrolment is not permitted in FSP2003 if FTR2010 has been previously completed.

Overview

This course is an intermediate level course in the Film Program and relies on pre-requisite FSP2000 and FSP1003 Editing. Increasingly the Film industry relies on post-production effects to deliver interesting and exciting stories.

The aim of this course is to build on previous post-production courses through the development of knowledge and strategies involved with post-production techniques for the Film industry. This course concentrates on, the processes involved in designing and integrating style and effects into the production process to achieve practical outcomes relevant to the broadcast industries.

This is an advanced course designed to develop specialist professional skills for digital artists through post-production learning environments. Students should develop a solid knowledge of the processes involved in creating and integrating special effect techniques such as motion, composite and overlay into their production pipelines. This will include digital motion graphics, visual effects and compositing techniques to name a few.

This course is designed to contribute to and compliment other practice outcome courses, in particular FSP2001 Short Film.
