Overview

An organisational culture is a combination of systems and processes that drive competitive advantage. A key part of organisational culture is how the people organise their work and communications. This is known as organisational culture and is reflected in the values, behaviours and norms that determine how and why things get done.  A company’s organisational culture facilitates and drives staff engagement and work practices designed to achieve high-performance. Building and sustaining a high-performance culture requires an understanding of the current culture, and company systems and processes to identify what (if anything) needs changing. A high-performance culture requires you to leverage your leadership identity to create synergies in organisational culture, the organisation’s mission and purpose and the systems and infrastructure of the company.

This course focuses on providing you with the skills and knowledge required to build and lead a high-performance culture that is aligned to the organisation's mission and vision. You will integrate models of relevant theories and perspectives to inform your understanding of the organisation's purpose, structure and culture. You will develop strategies to create an inclusive organisational culture that considers the impact of power, diversity and geography and that aligns with the organisation's mission. Your leadership identity will also inform the strategic approach to take when building and sustaining a high-performance culture.
