Our Law degrees have been developed with an Advisory Committee of senior judges and lawyers who have all given it their enthusiastic endorsement. Our lecturers have a wealth of experience in a diverse range of backgrounds, including criminal law, human rights, international and comparative law, family law, environmental law, property law and commercial law.

Why study law?
As well as a necessary part of becoming a practising lawyer, a law degree can open up a range of career options in a number of fields. From property law to public advocacy work, community outreach to human rights law, studying law gives you a strong foundation, opening the door to a number of high-paying careers in a variety of industries.
What can you do with a law degree?

If you want to pursue a career as a barrister, solicitor, lawyer, work in public prosecution, community advocacy, as in-house counsel for the corporate sector or within government, a law degree can take you there.

Can I get a law degree online?

Yes! At UniSQ you can study all of our Law and Criminology degrees online. You can choose to study full-time or part-time, allowing you to balance studying with your work and life commitments. As an online student, you’ll experience the same level of support and opportunity to connect with others.

You can also adjust your law degree enrolment to meet your needs. Take one subject at a time, or study extra subjects when life allows it.

How long does a law degree take in Australia?

Our undergraduate law degrees generally take three to fours years of full-time study to complete, with four subjects being undertaken per semester. Both UniSQ's Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor can be completed in just two years of study with our fast-tracking option.
