Apply for cross-institutional study

Apply to study a UniSQ course (subject) while gaining credit towards your home university degree.

Discover what cross-institutional courses are on offer. Don't forget to gain approval from your home university to ensure your UniSQ courses count towards your degree.

Cross-institutional applications close on the first day of the relevant study period.  Please view UniSQ’s important dates to find out all the details.
As part of the approval process, your home university will confirm the level of study you've selected (i.e. undergraduate or postgraduate) and will let UniSQ know if you meet the required pre-requisites.

Domestic postgraduate student

The fees for UniSQ’s postgraduate cross-institutional courses are determined by the fee structure of your home university. Please contact your home university directly for further information.

Domestic undergraduate student

If you are studying an undergraduate degree with your home university, you will be eligible for a HECS-HELP loan as a Commonwealth supported student. Further information about fees is available.

International student

Your fees will vary, depending on whether you are undergraduate or postgraduate student. Further information on international tuition fees is available.

There are different ways to apply for cross-institutional studies depending on what type of student you are.

Domestic students

If you're a domestic student, you'll need to submit an and have your home University sign the Cross-Institutional Admission Form which can be found within the online application portal. 

International students

If you are an international student, please follow the below steps:

Step one - Please complete the UniSQ Cross-Institutional International Application Form (PDF 177KB) – Page 3 to be completed by your Home University.

Step two - Make an application via and select in Application type Professional Development. Complete the application and upload the completed Cross-Institutional form (refer to step 1) and submit.

Step three - International admissions team will assess your application and advise you of your application outcome accordingly.

Once we have completed an assessment of your application, UniSQ will contact you in regards to your application, and provide you with the next steps in your journey to study at UniSQ.
